Here's another wonderful opportunity to come together and uncork some delightful Rhône Valley wines. To stay on theme and add a spooky twist, we suggest a selection of 3 food and wine pairings to delight your guests this October 31st! Red wines that you can pair with seasonal produce, slow-cooked meats, casseroles, and heartier family dishes.

2015 Arcane Le Diable - Vin de France The Devil card is auspicious; this pure Mourvèdre wine comes from very old vines, some of which have surpassed a century, spanning across various plots. This mix showcases the diverse typologies of the Vaucluse terroir, blending red and blue clays, rounded pebbles, and sands. The outcome lives up to the expectations set by this intense vintage: while restrained, this wine displays its strength with precision, centered around radiant dark flavors of fruit and delicate spice notes. It exudes sheer purity, despite its robust structure. This wine pairs wonderfully with a classic ribeye steak, lamb tagine, or a pumpkin casserole with aged Mimolette cheese.

Celebrating the black Grenache grapes, our 2019 Rasteau hails from three distinct terroirs made of marls, clays, and pebbles, each contributing a unique note to the wine. The result is a delicate and potent beverage shaped by a judicious aging process with a quarter in new oak. This characterful red pairs beautifully with duck shepherd's pie, slow-cooked lamb shoulder, or grilled eggplants in soy sauce.

The SM3 Cuvéeis a blend of Syrah and Grenache that truly emphasizes the power of the terroir. Every plot has been deliberately selected for its concentration, with grapes notably rich in polyphenols and mineral salts, resulting in dense and finely crafted juices. It's a well-balanced wine where the spices of the Syrah intertwine beautifully with the strength of the Grenache, offering a version that's already approachable and melded thanks to restrained aging. Best enjoyed with veal tenderloin, stuffed tomatoes with black rice or quinoa, or pork chops.

So, "Trick or wine?"
