A Côtes-du-Rhône made by adding a small percentage of reserve wines to the final blend! A final touch that softens the tannic structure and adds tertiary aromas.

90/100 - PARKER

" Vignon's 2019 Cotes du Rhone 100% is named not for being monovarietal—it's anything but—but for including parcels from virtually all of the appellations in the Southern Rhône. A blend of 40% Grenache, 25% Mourvèdre, 15% Syrah and the rest several other varieties and a bit of reserve wine from previous vintages, it offers a bouquet that combines garrigue with blackberries and adds subtle hints of dark chocolate and licorice. Full-bodied, concentrated and supple, it should be enjoyed over the next several years."

Terroir

Almost 100% of the terroirs of the Southern Rhône Valley, 156 parcels located at high altitude on hillsides, selected for their exceptional polyphenolic concentration.

Vinification and ageing

Vinification

Harvest dates are determined by daily berry tasting and systematic analysis of polyphenols in order to obtain maximum ripeness of the tannins, without them being herbaceous.

Vinification is carried out separately for each "couple" of grape varieties showing the same level of maturity.

The Syrahs and Mourvèdres are cold-macerated.

Ageing

Part of the wine (40%) is aged in French oak barrels from the Allier region and the rest in concrete tanks.
