Our Arcane range welcomes two new wines: La Fortune and La Justice. Xavier Vignon is again pushing the boundaries of traditional winemaking techniques to bring you these two new treasures with the same touch of originality that is the essence of the Arcane range!

Each wine in this series is a unique, ephemeral experience, highlighting the expression of a particular vintage, grape variety, or terroir. Each time, a different side of the wine appears, reflecting the experimentation and intuition of its creator.

This opportunity to embrace the full spectrum of these appellations, and sometimes to break away from them by going under the Vin de France label, gives Xavier Vignon the ability to reinvent himself constantly and, more importantly, to make wines just how he likes them: precise and fresh, harvested at crisp ripeness for added tension and vibrancy. He creates wines according to the vintage, highlighting a particular year, a specific variety of grape, or, on the contrary, a terroir, a place, or old planted vines.

There's magic at work here, like on that day in 2010, "the most moving moment of my life," when the Arcane wine was born. At the time, he harvested "an extraordinary Grenache, which was out of our league and which we hadn't anticipated. We may be dealt the same hand of cards yearly, but the outcome is always different.

This magical moment has stayed with us, leading to the creation of a unique conceptual range, Arcan, which, while it differs according to each new vintage and its particularities, always conveys the same dream-like qualities.

Taste this dream-like range through our two new additions :

Fortune and justice

The 2020 Arcane La Fortune Côtes du Rhône Villages is a red wine shaped by the diversity of its origins, with plots from Vacqueyras, Gigondas, and Beaumes-de-Venise, thus uniting freshness and generosity. The blend is predominantly comprised of Grenache, complemented by Cinsault and Mourvèdre. The emphasis here was placed on a distinctive Cinsault style. Pressed to the maximum to give the wine a nice density and a beautiful body, this unique winemaking method is supported by maturation in 220-liter glass vats, which give the wine its brilliance and length. The result is a highly accomplished, delicate, and powerful blend with floral, spicy, and fruity notes. A complex wine destined for aging, to be decanted and served with roast chicken, baked lamb chops, spaghetti with grilled vegetables and parmesan, or a bell pepper and thyme tart.

A blend of Grenache (70%) and Syrah, the 2020 Arcane La Justice Côtes du Rhône draws its complexity from its multiple origins. The year's juice is complemented by a reserve wine from a previous year, from the six blended crus (Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Lirac, Beaumes-de-Venise, Rasteau, and Cairanne). Its complexity is further enhanced by a combination of wood, stainless steel, concrete, and glass (Wine Globe) aging, with some Grenache aged in barrels immersed in wine... A mise en abyme that enhances the smoothness of the tannins and the extraordinary length of this wine. Serve with beef or vegetable lasagne, black pudding with apples, or a porcini omelet.

You can also appreciate these two wines over time by opening them regularly, after three, six, nine years... or more!
