The heart and soul of Châteauneuf-du-Pape's 13 varietals are certainly all present!

Ange 2001 pay tribute to the birth of Ange, Xavier's son, but also a great vintage.

Between 2001 and 2010 Xavier gradually and patiently set aside the finest base wines from the 2001 vintage which he sources from his partner winemakers. These little gems were reunited in our ageing cellars in Châteauneuf-du-Pape before being blended by Xavier on the day of Ange's birthday in July 2019 to make a single cuvée. The result can finally now be tasted!

96/100 - JEB DUNNUCK

"Blended in 2010 and bottle in 2019, aged in barrels always submerged in wine, the 2001 Châ- teauneuf Du Pape Ange sports a still youthful ruby color as well as a beautiful bouquet of cured meats, ground pepper, tobacco, white truffle, and spice. Rich, medium to full- bodied, and beautifully textured, it's multi-dimensional, layered, and elegant, with a Bonneau-like complexity and style. This is a thrilling wine."

95/100 - JAMES SUCKLING

"Aromas of dried cherries, figs, balsamic, citrus and leather. Some toffee on the palate. It’s full-bodied with sleek, well integrated tannins. Rich and flavorful with a seamlessly long, chocolatey finish. Lovely length. Plenty of life in it. Drink or hold."

Terroir
